Anise briquettes are a very traditional candy. Deep black and in the form of a coal briquette embossed with the miners’ hammer, the appearance has become particularly well-known in the Ruhr area and other mining areas. The light coating with powdered sugar prevents sticking and at the same time emphasizes the briquette structure and the miners’ hammers.
