Küfa is one of the oldest lollipop and candy factories in Germany.

Established in 1930 Küfa is the oldest lollipop and sweets factory in Germany. At that time, founder Paul Küstermann started in Schötmar, today a district of Bad Salzuflen, with the production of the small cherry lollipops, spinning top lollipops and some sweets.

For the name of the company he took the first two letters of his family name "" and of the word "Fabrikate" (what means the plural noun "makes") and put them together. „Küfa“ was born.

Later in the 1950s the production plant became too small. The community Dörentrup offered good conditions for building a new facility. As the company was the first at that street it was called Küfa-Street transitionally.
